MEDIA RELEASE: Empowering Women in Business this July: Regional Queensland Event in Roma.

Women in business, entrepreneurs, professionals, aspiring business leaders, business owners and more from around the Maranoa Region in Queensland are set to gather for an empowering and inspiring event designed to foster and form new friendships and connections, whilst promoting and encouraging the importance of taking time out away from the business landscape.

Scheduled for 12th July, 2024, the second Regional Long Lunch hosted by the duo from Ladies Who Long Lunch, attracts women from all areas of business to gather and hear from remarkable women experiencing unique challenges and their stories in life and business, hosted at Western Queensland Spirit in Roma.

Organised and hosted by Kirsty Fields and Jo Stevens the dynamic team behind Ladies Who Long Lunch, this women’s business long lunch is part of their broader initiative to support and promote female entrepreneurship and leadership in Queensland.

The event features a diverse lineup of speakers from around regional Queensland who will be featured during the Empowerment Panel Q&A discussions. Guests can expect to hear personal stories and insights during this part of the program, that will leave them laughing, feeling inspired and driven to share their own experiences in life with each other moving forward.

“In the last three years of travelling around Queensland to host long lunches for women about women, we’ve come to understand the importance of us facilitating social connection and local support of business owners, on a different level. At our last Regional Long Lunch, the ladies who joined us came with the expectation of knowing everyone who would be in the room, only to find and meet many business owners from around the Darling Downs they’d never met or heard about previously,” said Kirsty Fields, Host of Ladies Who Long Lunch events.

“Our guests regularly give us feedback about how much they enjoyed themselves, because though business is what brings us together, it’s the need to step out and unwind and connect with a fresh perspective about themselves as business-women, but also as individuals who need to incorporate self-care.”

At Ladies Who Long Lunch this looks a little different than other business luncheons we might normally attend. Our afternoons together are more of an enjoyable experience with an intent for guests to share in laughter and humour.”

Jo Stevens, also known as the dancing and singing Host of Ladies Who Long Lunch, brings her own flavour of entertainment and flair throughout the program, bringing plenty of opportunity for laughter and often singing and dancing by our guests as well.

“There’s simply not enough laughter in our roles as busy women, running businesses and families whilst trying to keep a focus on professional success and growth. One of the key elements unique to our events is our ability to share how important it is to enjoy ourselves – and maybe even let loose – with our peers. Bringing the joy into our events is something I really love to do,” says Jo Stevens, Host of Ladies Who Long Lunch.

There’s also plenty of time for guests to network with each other, before during and after the seated lunch on the expansive lawns of Western Spirit Queensland. Meeting new connections to forge valuable relationships to future support their own professional and personal growth is an event highlight regularly shared by former guests of LWLL events.

Guests will also enjoy a feasting style lunch with delightful desserts created to highlight the distillery’s extensive offerings.
