What Is A Limelight Lady?

A Limelight Lady is a community ambassador who actively participates in the planning, promotion and delivery of a Ladies Who Long Lunch event.

As part of the role, participants may:

No previous presenting or event experience is required.

A positive attitude, willingness to participate and commitment to professionalism are far more important.

Limelight Ladies are active participants in the delivery of the Ladies Who Long Lunch experience.

The public-facing opportunity is visibility, leadership and community engagement.

The operational reality is participation, contribution and professionalism.

That combination is what makes the program unique.

How It Works

Expressions of interest are invited from current members of the Limelight Business Directory who would like to take a more visible and active role within the Ladies Who Long Lunch community.

Applications may be submitted at any time and will be kept on file for consideration as future Limelight Ladies opportunities become available. One Limelight Lady will be selected for each participating LWLL event, with a minimum of three opportunities offered throughout the year. Special events may require more than one Limelight Lady.

Selection will consider your suitability for the role, availability and potential connection with the themes being explored by the event’s Empowerment Panel. This means you may not be selected for the next event, but your application can remain under consideration for an event that provides a particularly relevant opportunity for you and your business.

If selected, you will be contacted to confirm your availability before your participation is finalised. The program fee of $500.00 +GST will only become payable after your application has been approved and you have accepted the offered event. Your fee includes your event ticket, food and beverages, preparation with the LWLL team and the promotional opportunities outlined on this page.

Your Limelight Ladies experience begins before the event. You will provide the information and imagery required for your promotional features, attend a briefing and prepare for your responsibilities on the day.

At the event, you will become an active member of the LWLL team—from setup through to pack-down. Your role may include welcoming and engaging with guests, assisting with selected formalities, participating in presentations and helping us create the warm, connected experience for which Ladies Who Long Lunch is known.

This is a hands-on opportunity for women who are ready to step forward, contribute meaningfully and make the most of the visibility surrounding their involvement.

Can I participate more than once?

Yes. Previous Limelight Ladies may apply for another opportunity and will proceed through the selection process again. Future approval will take into account your suitability for the particular event and your contribution during any previous Limelight Ladies experience.
